What Characterizes the 3D Force-Directed Visualization?

The 3D Force Graph visualization projects the website’s interconnected network of projects, academic publications, university courses, and technical articles into three-dimensional space using Three.js and WebGL. By rotating, zooming, and flying through the volumetric constellation, visitors can explore multi-dimensional topic intersections and structural clusters that cannot be separated in flat 2D projections.

Technical Architecture & Spatial Physics

  • WebGL & Three.js Acceleration: Hardware-rendered 3D sphere geometries and dynamic particle streams provide clear depth perception at interactive frame rates.
  • 3D Vector Physics Simulation: Rather than constraining forces to planar vectors, the physics solver evaluates spring tension and charge repulsion across all three Cartesian axes (x,y,zx, y, z).
  • Orbital Camera & Directional Particles: Full orbit controller integration enables smooth fly-through navigation, highlighted by animated particles indicating semantic link directionality.
